We have a new short video of a smiling Jack. We even got his first giggle around 14 seconds.
Check it out here.

Evie has taken to wearing football jerseys. Here she is sporting 'ole number 34.
She also likes to wear Ashley's old powder puff jersey. It fits her a bit better.
I was hoping Avery would embrace his old man's legacy and don the uniform, but he isn't interested unless it's green and gold.
Speaking of Avery; he asked us at dinner tonight why boys have fewer teeth than girls. When we asked why he said this he cited the tooth that both he and daddy have missing in the front (the gap), but the girls in our family don't. We had to explain to him that most boys don't have this, it's because he and dad are "special".

Its what we do
Jack is learning that his emotional palette can now be more than two toned. In addition to angry (which includes hungry, tired, cold) and indifferent (which includes sleepy, confused, overwhelmed) we now find that a positive category is starting to emerge.
Smiles!
Jack went on an outdoor ride with a push by mom. It was above 45 degrees!
Who is that small baby getting a bath next to me?
Look at the wonderful cheeks! (and a knit hat from an aunt to boot)

the old apartment
If Mom hasn't share yet, we are finally moving!
It's been a crazy little adventure the past couple weeks since sending the email seeing if our current landlord wanted to get rid of us. And now, we signed a lease this morning and we are moving in on Monday! We will be painting at some point (with costs/labor taken out of rent), but the place already looks pretty nice. Kitchen needs a little love, but if the landlord approves it we can fix it up a bit. But the oven works, and is full size, so I am happy!
More photos will be posted once we get moved in. Hooray!

Snow Day!
Today was the big snow day home all together. Reuben obviously didn't have school and I didn't go to work because I wouldn't have been able to get out of our neighborhood (as my co-workers couldn't either)! So we enjoyed a relaxing day at home.
The view of our house this afternoon before Reuben shoveled the path to our house.
We brought Alena outside to have her play in the snow for the first time. Thanks for the snowsuit Adeline & Evie! She did seem to think the snow was interesting, but wasn't overly excited about it.
Reuben and Alena in our backyard with the snow more than knee-deep!
