Missed it by that much...

I am not sure how I feel about this, but they are making a "Get Smart" movie. Frankly, they can't replace the cast from the tv show, but I think they did well to choose the actor they did. Here is the trailer for anyone interested.

Open Road Song

We got some new wheels. I am once again the proud owner of a blue Mazda. This one has a little bit more horse power than Sparky did. So, we no longer have the truck. We traded it in for this family vehicle. Thank heavens its not a minivan. We even splurged on a few options: AWD, moon roof, power seats, Bose stereo system. That's right, this grocery-getter has a sub woofer.





We also went to the park after church today, so here are a couple pictures of the kids.

Finally, a post from Reuben and Rachel. It has been a long time but it was worth the wait because...

Rach and I got Kayaks!! Unfortunately there is too much snow for any fun with them yet. The closest thing we can give you to action shots is us posing in the basement. But, we would like to introduce you to the newest members of our family.

Yes it is a kayak. Mine is blue.

As of yet we have no names for the newbies. Suggestions are allowed. We make no promises on what we will select.

Grandpa Sportel was in town this weekend. It's always good to see him and Marcella. It's also fun to dominate in pass the ace(two 1st place finishes and one 2nd).
In other news we saw U23D this weekend. I'm not sure if it is playing out there yet, but if it is, go and see it. It almost feels like being front row at a U2 concert, which is a good thing if you've never done it. It fed my urge to see them play again. Hopefully a tour will be coming soon.

Only in Dreams

Tried to post this last week but something went wrong. I attended a conference at Invesco Field last week. Some of us got the chance to go down to the field and kick field goals. So I finally got the chance to play on an NFL field. And it was only slighty easier for me than it was for Sam and Reuben.
