Question: How Long Does it Take to Build a Garden Fence?

Answer: About 6 years! This is the fence we finally made in the flower garden from the stones we saved from Grandpa's barn. We transplanted Alkanet and Delphinium that Dad grew from seed last year. Look how tall everything is already!

I played with the new lens Dad gave me for Christmas. Very fun...

Saturday, March 17, 2012

We went for a hike on Lake Michigan a couple weeks ago after our last big snow. Please reference the attached pictures.

Threw in a couple I took of the girls yesterday too.

Another Spring Ritual...

Finished off our first, and possibly only, batch of maple syrup for the year. Thought it looked pretty in the morning light. Such a strange winter/spring we were happy to get at least one run.

Georgia (kind of?) on my mind

I realize these are a bit old... but someone other than Ben needs to be posting pictures, and we haven't done a ton of picture-worthy things since then. Here are a few pics from our week in the "ATL":

Tradition of Bball. Spence still wins, even though he is getting dwarfed by the young'ns

Took a stroll at a park with some old mill buildings along the Chattahoochee, aka "The Hooch."

In the middle of town, in a public park, overly excited about the discovery of a pecan tree. Our pockets were full by the time we went home. This is Spence throwing sticks at the tree to knock more off.

Our diverse team (Me, Spencer, Catherine, Willis, and "Other Mom") won, nay, dominated Trivia night at the local coffee shop, Land of a Thousand Hills (which sells fair trade coffee that we sell at my local Yobel fair trade store). Normally Joel's team wins, but we made sure to keep him and his friends in check. Doing my duty as an older sister now...

Not in Georgia, but after our 6am flight home we went straight to stand in line at the flagship REI in Denver while we waited for some friends to fly in a few hours later. It was cold and windy, but I got some "sick" snowboarding boots so I can do some more "shredding." "Gnar."

Eventually there may be videos. We've been taking some since we got married... over a year ago... and haven't done much. It's a personal goal to catch up on that in the next couple months. Maybe we will have our own channel soon for you all to keep up with. No babies, so not as interesting, but still entertaining!
