A couple quick tidbits:
Click here for a good news link about a fire in Spencer's neighborhood It's amazing the fire didn't spread, we saw it easily from a good 15 miles away, and since it was in the foothills apparently even the airport could see it! Probably about a half mile up the hill from him, there were still fire trucks watching the area today so we haven't gawked at what's left yet.
In more mostly good news, Spencer is now the owner of a reliable car for a reasonable price.
I also thought I should add a couple Halloween pics my own, including a "Hot Mamma" and yes, that is, in fact, Tim the Enchanter with a bunny giving out candy.

Here is the bathroom in a finished fashion.
The beautiful orange wall. This is the only color orange that Katie would accept....
The carpet in the front room. It is very soft. Like a big fleece blanket.
Scratch and dent washer dryer. We had to get high efficiency top loading because the other kind would not fit.
Here is the finished living room. The carpet is made with corn by products which I thought was kind of cool. It kind of tastes like corn too. This is the last update. If you want to see the finished product you will have to come and see it. Just let us know when you plan to head over.

some more
First things first: Take out the smelly carpet. It was just a little too big, but it is my favorite couch from Grandma and Grandpa so we found a way.
Some of our handy helpers (kate's parents)
Here is kate stepping out of the stone-age and into a power tool wielding future. Just wait until she gets a utility belt.
some kind of blue with a fancy name
This is so Kirk's fiance believes that he actually painted. (Brooke, he has some things to learn, but he is absolutely bursting with potential....I promise)
Jill cleaning and organizing our kitchen cupboards. I am still finding things I never knew we got from our wedding. (gravy separator? who knew!)
Mom stepped up with some Chilean hut painting experience and took to coloring our walls. She is self conscious though so tell her it looks nice.
That is all for now. More is happening this week (2nd coat of paint, carpet, some scratch and dent machines) so you can get some finished product pictures next week. Thanks for all the help from those who gave it!
