Exterior House Pictures

Here ae a few pictures from our visit to the house. This first picture is looking down on the lower deck from the upper deck. Below that deck is a level play area. There is a small stream just past that play area. The next is a view of the house from that play area. Avery and Ashley's dad are standing on the deck. Next is a view of the house from the driveway, which is level for those of you who were afraid of our last driveway.

I got a job!

So here is the story that mother elluded to.
Last week after k-zoo didn't work (boo), I decided to apply to DCS. I talked to mom and she later called back and said to apply soon. I hand delivered the app and was fortunate enought to get a chance to talk to the Principal on the spot for first round interview. (Yay!) Friday I found out I was not invited to the second round interview tuesday. (Boo!) I put it behind me. Tuesday I came home from coffee with Rach and had real messages on the machine. I was called by the principal, Teune, and mom. They wanted to interview me. (Yay!) I interviewed weds (yesterday). I received the call last night! (YAY!) The rest is history.
I received lots of prayer and support from everyone. Thanks so much. God was very present through it all. What an awesome answer to prayer. It was a great ride. Rach and I are very excited that I no longer have to search. It is a great job I am so happy with. Thanks again everyone for the support.

p.s. Rach is pretty certain she can take thursday and friday as personal days before Prinsburg. Can we join the caravan?

Looks like the interviews went well. It was fun to see God's hand in Reuben's saga. I'll let him tell the story...
We can handle Avery, Ben, if you need us. Any stinky diapers come back to you, though! We should try to get suites or adjoining rooms if they are available.

Mattie has agreed to stay with us in Prinsburg. We'll keep Adeline but we might sneak Avery into someone's room, so beware!

Congrats on the interviews to RAS and Kate. I'm sure you both did well. Ashley might know someone in Hamilton if Katie thinks that might help.

We toured the house again today. It looks good and should be ready for visitors soon. It just needs a lot of interior painting. Hint, Hint. We also found out we have a small stream running through the adjacent property, so there are nice water sounds to fall asleep to also.

Mattie, check your email, I'm sending pics of the house. Stop your whining.

I'm in

Hi family,
I just invited myself to be an author. Now I can post blogs as me on Sportelcentral. Parents are still the adminastrators, but we can sign in with our gmail accounts. Basically, under settings somewhere, you can "add authors" send an e-mail to people, and they use there gmail account to be part of the blog. Neat huh? Then we won't have to use mom and dad's passwords and stuff.

Job Interviews Today

Both Katie and Reuben have job interviews today. Katie is interviewing this morning in Hamilton. Reuben was called back to Dutton Christian. They decided they wanted to talk to him afterall. His interview is at 4:30. Pray for them today!

Prinsburg-Ben(1)

 
Mom's picture speaks to me. It says, "better than some you have put into competition, but not as good as others". I like it though. Maybe that is b/c we watched Fiddler on the Roof last night and I am having nostalgic feelings for a more agrarial society.

We're going to Prinsburg, we will be driving out Wed night and leaving Sun morning. Where is everyone staying? I'm not sure if the Sportels are reserving a hotel block somewhere or not. I know that Wilmar's Country Inn has a twisty slide in their pool. We are looking forward to the trip, hopefully everyone will be there. I'm looking at you Mattie!

I hope all goes well at work for you Rachel. It sounds like you are becoming a pretty big deal over there at the Hospital!

great idea! 2A

What a great idea! This is exciting! I don't have much new and exciting to report except that I just finished my third week of hospital orientation of my new job. Today was great b/c I did pretty much everything on my own and one of the doctors gave me a big compliment. So one more week and I'm officially completely on my own. I'm nervous, but excited.... and REALLY enjoying the normal Mon-Fri scheule!
