Our little trip to California for the weekend.
In the end, they finished in a pretty disappointing place, but it was a beautiful weekend on the West Coast!
You can see some mountains in the distance, those are islands. There were also mountains to the north.
playing a game called "flutter-guts" in the sunset
Turns out most of the Colorado teams played at the same par, and were all in the same bracket for 9-12 place, so they decided to play on the beach instead of the fields.
more strange group games on the beach...
Getting rocked by the waves between games. Once you got out about 10 yards it was much less painful. The water was surprisingly cold, but felt more like home for me!
Monday morning, wanting to get in before we had to leave. A few of the guys had gone in before we got there, and had to help drag one of them out because it was so rough. This is about where they stood the rest of the time.

Looks like a fun, warm trip!
If you hurry you can flyback to MI for the illustrious Huck Fest at Brewer Park on Saturday. We could use both you guys. BTW, Nice ups Spencer.
Hey is Spencer allowed to post/comment on this blog yet. If not someone should fix that. If he is already official, he should speak up more.
The funny thing is, the flight from Santa Barbara to Denver is the flight that goes from Denver to Grand Rapids, we joked about just staying on the plane.
It would be quite fun to play at Huck Fest, though I have a feeling Spencer would play on Calvin's team.
Does he need any special privileges to post something? Probably not to comment. He'll do it when he is ready :)
What is a "huck"?
Throwing a frisbee far.
