Pain
We installed wood flooring this past weekend and I am sore. It seems like it was harder this time around. It looks pretty good though. I'm pleased with the results. Avery even chipped in with the demolition. I have some before and after action here for you to enjoy:

The picture of Avery and Ben in the demolition phase is a classic. I need that photo for my office picture frame. However, I'm not sure the safety glasses meet OSHA and COSHA guidelines.

I was actually thinking of Jimmy Eat World, but those are all valid answers.
After that picture Avery and I switched to real safety glasses. I guess mine were real, Avery's were from his Bob the Builder toy. That wasn't the first time I was in OSHA violation. I prefer speed and comfort to cumbersome safety gear.
We are looking forward to seeing averyone soon too. I would say I'm excited about summer, but there is 8 inches of snow on my porch.
Jimmy Eat World was the band I thought of first too. Did you run wood up the steps? Or did you just quit with the main level?
Sam, I still have to do the stairs. I have the wood, but not all the trim pieces I need.
RAS, there was fiber cement under the tile. I had to scrap it up before laying the wood. I didn't enjoy that part.
