Last weekend we had a great little getaway weekend in Grand Haven at the Harbor House Inn Bed & Breakfast. Our walk on the pier was nice, but the wind was cold, even though before the windchill it was sunny & in the 60's! There were still huge ice chunks on the pier.
On Monday evening, it had cooled down a little, but we finally hauled our kayaks over to Reeds Lake and used them for the first time! It was great!

Congrats on using your kayaks! ...and you lived to tell the story ;-)
If you want another kayaking challenge, you can try the creek by our place or the pond behind the barn. There both very kayakable.
PS. If you enlarge the picture of Reuben unloading the kayak, you will see an interesting sign.

Danger, eh? Is Reeds Lake that polluted? The folks in EGR must be pouring all of their spoiled caviar and fine cheeses into the lake.
Looks like it was fun. Hopefully the warm weather isn't far off for both of our states.
Ben, that might be the source of the pollution but it's more likely that it relates to a common statement by many of us who have done the Reeds Lake triathalon: Do you know what the lake tempature will be for the race? 98.6.
I see. At least you don't have to worry about hypothermia.
