Red Rubber Ball

Happy Fall! What a great day we had here today. Dad and I went to the beach. The water was swim-able. We think it is a record for us. The latest we ever swam in the season.

We tried to get a shot of the date on the newspaper. Sort of like pointing at a calendar the first day of Kindergarten. Here's a close-up:

Exciting, Huh?

Cyrkle is the artist, also I beleive there is a version by Simon and garfunkel.

Way to hit the beach on the hottest Sept. 24th on record in MI. I bet it was empty. very cool.. I mean hot. oh so corny.

Actually there were hundreds of people at the beach, including many families with little kids. And it was so "hot" you had to go in the water every half hour to "cool" off.

The lyric for the song was "the morning sun is shining like a red rubber ball" so we took liberties with it being a sunset.

September 24 is almost as impressive as December 8. Probably much more enjoyable.
